How Does the Meningitis ACWY Vaccine Work?
The vaccine stimulates your immune system to produce antibodies against the A, C, W, and Y strains of Neisseria meningitidis. These antibodies help your body recognise and defend against the bacteria if you’re exposed.
How Is the Vaccine Administered?
A single injection, usually in the upper arm
Ideally given at least 2 weeks before travel or group events
Suitable for children over the age of 6 weeks, with dose and schedule based on age
A certificate of vaccination may be issued if required for travel documentation.

Provides strong protection against meningococcal A, C, W, and Y strains
